High School Program Options
Two types of high school programs are available in Ottawa.
The programs differ in their duration, academic objectives, and participation requirements.
1. Academic Year Program
(10-month academic year or 5-month semester)
Designed for students who want to fully experience life in a Canadian high school while becoming part of the local school community and everyday life in Ottawa.
2. Short-Term High School Programs
(4 to 16 weeks during the academic year)
Designed for students seeking a shorter academic and cultural experience while attending a Canadian high school and improving their English through full immersion.
Both Academic Year and Short-Term Programs allow students to experience a new culture, build international connections, and grow personally. Students receive the support they need to enjoy a complete, safe, and enriching experience.
Academic Year Program
(10-month academic year or 5-month semester)
Comprehensive program coordination includes:
Pre-departure orientation (meeting with the student, family, or educational agency/partner)
School enrolment and coordination with the school board in Ottawa
Guidance with required documentation and entry requirements
Legal custodianship in Canada
Immigration guidance and support for the study permit process
Careful host family selection and student-family matching
Complete coordination of the student's stay
Arrival and departure coordination, including airport transfers
Regular communication with the student, family, or educational representative
Personalized support and ongoing monitoring of the student's academic, personal, and cultural adjustment
Short-Term High School Programs (4 to 16 weeks during the academic year)
Comprehensive program coordination includes:

Coordination with the school board or host school in Ottawa
Guidance with required documentation
